WhatSUP started out as a mobile paddleboarding business in the South Tampa area, originally known as WhatSUP South Tampa. As business started to grow we started to expand our paddling locations, adding eco-tours and downtown tours to our paddle sessions, which eventually led us to our shop- located at Ben T. Davis Beach. We now offer paddleboard, kayak and bike rentals along with concession and beach nick-nacks.
Tessa Blosser grew up at the beach and has a love for anything water related. Graduating from the University of Florida with a Masters Degree in Education, she began teaching in Gainesville and wanted to move closer to the water where she decided on Tampa. After living here for a year, she opened a mobile paddleboarding buisness where she taught elementary school during the day and took people paddleobarding at sunset and on the weekends. After 3 1/2 years of juggling two full-time jobs, she decided to take a leap and focus solely on her business to see where it would go. As the founder and owner of WhatSUP Paddle Sports, she is a certified World Paddle Association (WPA) instructor, certified PaddleFit instructor, certified H2YO instructor, and 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher.
She loves to give lessons and tours on paddleboards as well as showing people Florida's beautiful gems that are often overlooked or missed.
